Magpress Bluewish Theme : Featured Content Slider and dual posts

  If you look at my blog that I’m working on, you can see that I have 2 posts with a photo in the featured content slider. That is all working great with a couple of exceptions.

  1) How do I attach a external URL to the photo so that someone can see the story there in the featured section and it take them directly to the story rather than having to click the story in the slider, it open up another wordpress page and then clicking on the story to get to the external URL?

  2) The featured content that I have on there as you can see also duplicates below the slider as a blog post. I do not want this. I want featured content to stay in the slider not as a post. I want to be able to post other posts under the slider. You can see on my site that I was able to successfully post a story without it going into the slider which is what I want but the other two posts that are there are in the slider and I don’t need them below the slider.
