mahinhin theme, categories question

  I am using the Mahinhin theme, found here: http://wordpressthemesbase.com/view/962.html

  On my blog, the category count is on a 2nd line (http://oldhousedreamer.com). Also, I’m trying to get the parent category a little bigger in size than the children. How do I do this? And how do I fix the category count where it is on the same line as the category it is counting? Thanks for your help!
