On WordPress.com, we do not provide email hosting, but you can connect email hosting from another provider to your custom domain. Here are instructions for using email with your custom domain:

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Is it possible to give a clear and specific answer. Our mail is now down for one week and this is very bad for our business.
We have got a ip adress for mail from our webbhotel but do not understand where to put this information to start up our mail.
This is very critical for us. Can someone please help us as soon as possible?
Thanks in advanced

The following support page describes the types of DNS records you will need to enter on WordPress.com, as well as where and how to enter them, to get email hosted elsewhere working with your WordPress.com-mapped domain.
Exactly which DNS records you need to enter and the values associated with them depends on your email provider. At the minimum, you will need to enter a valid MX record.
The current MX record you’ve entered is not sufficient.
If you contact your email provider and obtain the correct values, I will be more than happy to enter the requisite DNS record(s) for you.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you, i have now added a correct MX record. But still our email is not working. This have now gone one for almost two weeks. We really need to set up our emil. What more can we do?

An MX record is not associated with an I.P. address, and the MX record you entered will not work.
Here are examples of common MX records from other email providers:
MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.MX 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.Can you confirm the name of your email hosting provider?
Once I get some feedback, we can take the next troubleshooting step in resolving your issue.
