Mail chimp newsletter widget

  Hi~
  I am trying to embed a newsletter button on my wordpress site~ and all I am getting is the html code when I publish. Is there a widget I need to download to do this? I just want people to be able to sign up for my newsletter when they get on my page. (I am working with Mail chimp right now. ) Thanks a bunch!

  Hi Jasmin!

  Some code is removed automatically for security, such as form and iframe elements, which is why the HTML isn’t working for you. There’s not a custom widget for MailChimp at this time, what users usually do instead is create a Text widget that links to their signup page. MailChimp has a nice guide to this here:

  In short, add a Text widget to your sidebar or other widget area, then add the direct link to your MailChimp form to the widget. You can style this with an image if you’d like so that that’s what visitors are clicking.
