In speaking with iPage, my registrar who holds the domain and the email servers, they are recommending the following:
1. In WordPress DNS, set the MX record to: mx.ipage.com
2. In iPage DNS, add an A Record(s) for WordPress.comIs this correct? And if so, what is WordPress.com’s A Record(s) that I should use?
Thanks

Based on other support threads, here’s what I was able to ascertain:
Option 1: Have everything point to WordPress.com. Problem is that iPage email will not work and adding Google Apps is a separate service/ fee.
WordPress Name Servers
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMOption 2: Only change the A Record on iPage and MX on WordPress to mx.ipage.com. Problem is that WordPress A records are dynamic.

Hi Scott,
The best way to point your domain to WordPress.com is to use the WordPress.com name servers. I do not recommend using A records to point your domain to WordPress.com. WordPress.com does not use static IP addresses, which means that if you create A records to point your domain to WordPress.com IP addresses, those IP addresses may change in the future and your domain will stop working.
When your domain is using WordPress.com name servers, you can still enter the MX records (and any other domain records) you need to keep using your other email service. I see you already entered the MX record for mx.ipage.com. If iPage requires any other records to get your email working, please let me know exactly what records they give you and I can help you enter them here.
