Mail Help
-
Hello WordPress,
I’ve been in contact with my domain provider and they’ve let me know I need to erase one of my Mail IP’s (I think that’s what they called it), this is 27.54.80.94
The only one you need is 103.254.173.2
Hopefully this makes some sense. Thank you in advance!
Warm regards,

In order for your domain name to work at WordPress.com, you should remove the other nameservers and add only the ones listed below.NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMNote: Removing nameservers can cause things like email or other custom setups to break. Please consult with your current hosting company or registrar before removing DNS entries.

Hey Jeremy,
I think that has done it! Thank you! I’ve actually having trouble with my domain provider, my email won’t connect to the IMAP server and they’re saying this was the problem, hopefully this will fix it.
Thanks again.

Wonderful! Looks like the A record is indeed gone. Let me know if you have any more trouble!

Hey Jeremy,
Thank you for all your help. I’m still unable to access my emails, I have my hosting through Crazy Domains, they’ve change their systems. I haven’t been able to log into my email for 3 days now as it there’s failed connection to IMAP server, I’ve been given a lot of different things to try and fix the issue and things they’ve done, each time guaranteeing my email will then be working 2-4 hours later, each time with no luck. Even though they’ve changed all their systems they’re telling me its WordPress who have done something to cause the issue, I was wondering if you know of any reason WordPress would have changed my Mail A, or any changes on WordPress that would effect my email?
Thank you again.

Hi there,
The only settings that affect your mail service are the ones you see in your domain manager for your domain:
https://missladylace.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Right now, your domain has two records related to your domain. The first is the MX record:
ladylace.com.au mail handled by mail.ladylace.com.au. with priority 10
That sends all of your emails through mail.ladylace.com.au. The second record is the A record (IP address):
mail.ladylace.com.au points to 103.254.137.202
I noticed that in your first message you mentioned a different IP address:
103.254.173.2
I’m not sure if Crazy Domains gave you the IP address 103.254.137.202 later on to try that instead, but you’ll want to make sure your domain manager is using the IP address they gave you. Do you want me to help you switch that back to the IP 103.254.173.2 you mentioned the first time around?
