  I want to put a subscriber pop up on my page. I copy/paste the MailCHimp code into the widget box.

  When I hit the save button the code changes and I get no subscriber pop up. If this problem cannot be solved I will be forced to move to a host who can make it work. I have 250+ hits on my blog and NO WAY TO CAPTURE EMAIL!!!

  We have code restrictions. The pop-up JavaScript code you are using will not work. You have to use the mailchimp widget provided by WordPress.com. Here is the link to the guide

  This is the third time I have posted this problem and all They tell me is to follow the instructions I am following. Getting fed up really fast

  That is not the Mailchimp widget code. https://en.support.wordpress.com/mailchimp You ignored me and posted the code from mailchimp for the popup that will not work.

  Hi,

  Thanks for sending me the code — there are no issues there. I’ve visited your site in multiple browsers and can see the MailChimp Subscriber Popup:

  I also pasted your code into my test site; the pop was visible and appeared a few seconds after the page had loaded. It appears to be working as expected.

  If you’re still unable to see the popup, can you check two things for me:

  1. Your browser isn’t blocking popups

  2. Javascript is enabled:

  It would also be a good idea to test the popup using a different browser.

  Yes, that’s not a problem. The MailChimp Subscriber Popup widget converts that code into a shortcode after the widget is saved — which is why it looks different.
