mailchimp campaign
-
hi,
i’m kind of shitting in my pants.
I sent out a beautiful mailchimp campaign and when i clicked some of the links in the email, it took me to the correct pages but at the bottom of the pages are my word press links to ‘edit.’ Am I the only one, (since I am logged in to word press all the time on my website) to be able to edit now or did i just send a mailchimp campaign to 127 people and gave them permission to edit as well. Like, in short, can the mail chimp recipients see the ‘edit’ buttons? (fuuuuck)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is an Admin Edit link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any Editors you have created can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.
The only people who can edit your site are those you provide that ability to. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ and here please https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/
If you log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then visit your site without logging in that links will not appear to you.
re: contact forms and comment boxes and autofilled information
Note that there will be auto-filled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.
When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.

You cannot use the Mailchimp popup embed code provided by Mailchimp on WordPress.COM hosted sites, however, WordPress.COM Staff have recently added the Mailchimp widget for subscriptions and here is the link to the guide you must use https://en.support.wordpress.com/mailchimp
