Mailchimp Embed form problem
-
I am trying to add an mailing list sign up for from Mailchimp to my posts and it isn’t working.
This is the embed code Mailchimp provides:
<!– Begin MailChimp Signup Form –>
<link href=”//cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/slim-081711.css” rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css”>
<style type=”text/css”>
#mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; }
/* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */
</style>
<div id=”mc_embed_signup”>
<form action=”http://hell4heather.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=958ae0e3efecfc585eec46fe1&id=32091d6e49″ method=”post” id=”mc-embedded-subscribe-form” name=”mc-embedded-subscribe-form” class=”validate” target=”_blank” novalidate>
<label for=”mce-EMAIL”>Receive ‘The New Mrs D’ Publication News</label>
<input type=”email” value=”” name=”EMAIL” class=”email” id=”mce-EMAIL” placeholder=”email address” required>
<!– real people should not fill this in and expect good things – do not remove this or risk form bot signups–>
<div style=”position: absolute; left: -5000px;”><input type=”text” name=”b_958ae0e3efecfc585eec46fe1_32091d6e49″ value=””></div>
<div class=”clear”><input type=”submit” value=”Subscribe” name=”subscribe” id=”mc-embedded-subscribe” class=”button”></div>
</form>
</div><!–End mc_embed_signup–>
This results in a form title and no form fields!
Can anyone advise?

You cannot use the embed code on a WordPress.COM blog. You can create a sign up page on MailChimp directly and simply link to it from your WordPress.com site. Here’s their instructions http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog
