Mailchimp Embedded Form!!!!!
-
WordPress.com really needs an embedded form for Mailchimp. The fact that you only offer a pop-up even for premium subscribers is ridiculous.

I also add this. Can this happen? I really don’t want to bother my viewers with a popup.

The mailchimp embed code will not work on any site hosted by wordpress.COM.
Staff have recently added the mailchimp widget for subscriptions and here is the link to the guide you must use https://en.support.wordpress.com/mailchimp
re: wordpress.com blog subscriptions
All that’s required to follow any blog hosted by wordpress.COM is exactly what you were required to provide to register here, and that is a valid email address that the published posts can be sent to.
Here subscribers control their own subscriptions and frequency of receipt of posts from sites they subscribe to. We cannot act on their behalf.
You can set up email subscriptions here > Appearance > Widgets > Follow Blog Widget by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
Widgets can be configured to appear only on certain pages (or be hidden on certain pages) by clicking on the Visibility button.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibilityWe have a subscription shortcode which you can make use of. The help page on it is right here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/ You can also include the subscription shortcode at the end of every post you publish.
Additional information:
You can create a Subscribe page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ add and customize a contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard on that page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/Bottom line: Staff review all threads in this support forum and will contact the requester(s) if they choose to implement what’s requested. However, my read on this is don’t hold your breath.
This guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site

WordPress.com is restricting my capabilities and hurting my business by not providing a MailChimp Widget for the side bar. I need to allow visitors of my blog to subscribe to my email list, not to some Follow Button where I then lose control over the email addresses.
I need this change now, or I’m requesting a full refund plus recuperation for lost damages.
This is a basic service that has been around since the earliest days of blogs. I can’t believe WordPress.com would even consider such a foolish control strategy or be so negligent to forget making this widget. FIX THIS!

Hi @builderdistribution, I understand your frustration and I have noted your request. It’s a feature we would love to offer here, however right now their embed form is not compatible with our service.
You are welcome to use the popup, or a direct link in your menu to the form. If you need help with either, let us know.
