Mailchimp integration for Sela theme

  Hey there

  I was wanting to add a mailchimp sign up form to the right column widget on my homepage:
  https://madpridelondon.wordpress.com/

  It’s saying to install a plugin but I don’t think I can do that with a free site? Then I tried adding the HTML as a text widget… but that didn’t work… Am I right or is there a way round it? Thanks

  If you want to use MailChimp with your WordPress.com site you can do so by creating a link to the signup form on MailChimp and providing it to your visitors. Here’s the info from MailChimp Support http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog

  That’s great I was able to do it as a link. I was just hoping that the HTML embed code offered by Mailchimp would work as a text embed, is that possible on non self-hosted wordpress sites?

  Thanks for your pointers so far. I have used mailchimp embed before so was just expecting it to work! :)
