Mailchimp newsletter in the footer
-
I would like to add a possibility to subscribe to my mailchimp newsletter in the footer. But when I copy the code there, it doesn’t turn into a visual. Can someone help me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @nicolasjutzet,
Which widget are you trying to add to the footer? If it was the Mailchimp Popup widget, that’s meant to be a popup that shows once for an end user, which is why you aren’t seeing an email input for example in the footer area.
I tried to see if embedding a Mailchimp form using the Custom HTML widget would work, but the Mailchimp code has some tags included which aren’t allowed on this platform.
Alternatively, I did see that there’s another way to add a Mailchimp form to your website by using blocks. While this wouldn’t necessarily be in the footer of your site, this would allow you to put the sign up form near the bottom of a page or post for example.
Here are some steps to add a sign up form using blocks if you want to give it a try: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/mailchimp-block/
Hopefully this was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions, I’d be happy to help! :)

Tacking on to @charleybea ‘s lovely response – There is a support doc with more information about the MailChimp Subscriber Popup, how it works, and things to watch out for.
Best of luck!
