  I am pasting the mailchimp pop up code into the widget. When I click save it changes the code and the popup does not show.

  Hello –

  The mailchimp popup is working on lisalsalazar.wordpress.com. The code is transformed, so that is not alarming. You can try and view it from an incognito window.
