Mailchimp Pop Up

    Hi,
I have had a Mailchimp Pop Up on my free version of WordPress for a little while. I have just gone and updated the Pop Up text on Mailchimp. I thought it was just a matter of editing the text.

It seems now it says the WordPress site is not verified. I then try and it says it is. But then says that I will need to Upgrade my WordPress blog to allow it?

I’m a little confused and now can’t seem to get it to work.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there!

    Thanks for reaching out.

Mailchimp changed things on their end a bit ago so Mailchimp pop-ups are actually no longer fully supported on the free plan. Mailchimp now requires that embed is added to the <head> of your site, which isn’t supported on the free WordPress.com plan.

To clarify, it may still be possible to update your form but you will need to edit the existing form you have added to your site in your Mailchimp account. More on this here:

Mailchimp pop-ups are available on the WordPress.com Business and eCommerce plans.

You may also check out the Mailchimp Block, which can be added to any page or post on your site:

Let me know if you have any questions!
