Mailchimp Popup slows down loading

  Hello, I started using MailChimp and I really like their popup subscriber form. But when I add their code to my WordPress site, It really slows down the loading time. Mostly the site doesn’t load at all. I am using Illdy theme and I added the code to the footer.php right above </body>. Can someone please help me?

  It looks like your site is self-hosted (Ascio Technologies, Inc. Danmark) so you will need to post your question on the WordPress.ORG forums.
