MailerLite for sites using new Site Editor theme

  • Unknown's avatar

I understand that WordPress has a Mailerlite plugin/widget that can be used to embed a form into a WordPress page: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/mailerlite/

My site now uses a theme that uses the new Site Editor instead of widgets. How would I get Mailerlite integration working?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there –

You should be able to add this through the widget block. Use these instructions:

Widget areas are special places on your site that can accept blocks. These vary by theme but are typically areas like your sidebar or footer. 💡 Themes that support the Site Editor do not use widgets, so you won’t see Appearance → Widgets in your dashboard. Instead, you can edit all of your site in one place at Appearance → Editor. Click here to learn how to use the Site Editor.

    Hi Zinnia,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am using a theme that uses Site Editor, which does not support widgets so I can not use the widget block. How would I use MailerLite integration in this case?

    Thanks,

We do not currently have a MailerLite block to use with the Site Editor themes.

Although this is a manual process, you could use a contact form and when someone uses it and you get the email, you can manually add them to your MailerLite list.

We do have a Block for Mailchimp, that can be embedded in a page or post, but that would mean changing services, and I’m not sure how far into MailerLite you are at this time.
