  Even though I rarely have Russian views, recently I have email followers (today 3, 30 or so overall) from mail.ru. Spam? Bots? Long range plans? Whats up?

  Hi there,

  This might be spam/bots, but we usually see those in much higher volumes, so this might be real subscribers as well. Thanks for reporting this, though. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more reports like this – if it is happening on multiple sites that would be a good indicator that it might be spam.

  If you don’t want those followers on your site you can remove them via My Sites ->People, though that won’t prevent them from re-following.

  If you notice these follows suddenly increase significantly, please let me know.
