Main content area does not span when sidebar removed
-
I have hidden the sidebar because I just want the main content area to span the whole width of the site. In my CSS I have put
.sidebar { display:none; }
the contents of the sidebar have gone away but the spacing of the sidebar is still there pushing the main content still to the right.
How can I remove the sidebar and have the main content area span the full width of the site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to remove the left margin from div#content. Right now it is set at 200px to make room for the sidebar that isn’t there.

Just a suggestion. I might think about reworking your navigation. Until just a minute ago when my mouse happened to go over “work” and “about” I hadn’t realized that those were navigation. I thought it was the title of your blog.

OK, one more thing. I would add about 40px of padding-top to div#footer as right now on your “blog” page the footer is squished right up against the bottom of the blog posts.

Well, with sandbox, div#container needs a few tweaks.
div#container { float:left; margin:0; } div#content { margin:0; } -
@thesacredpath – Thanks a bunch on this. I had the margin:0 on both of them but did not have the float:left on the container. Thanks as well for the feedback with my navigation.
