  I would like to widen the “main content column.” Is that what you call the space that contains post and sidebar? Can anyone tell me how to do it? I have tried editing codes that refer to “width” in the stylesheet but just get some funny looking stuff when I preview it. I am only copying the code I want to change into the editor.

  My purpose is to be able to post video in wide format instead of only 4:3 aspect ratio. Thanks.

  First off I would suggest that you start with a different theme than Kubric, otherwise the first thing you will have to do is to create three new background images to match the existing images except wider by the amount you want to increase the content area.

  These are the images you will have to recreate wider:

  http://s3.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickbg.gif
  http://s2.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickfooter.gif

  Then at that point, you upload those images to the media library, get the URL’s of them and replace the existing URL’s in the three sections of the CSS.

  Then you can set about widening the content area.
