Main email account needs to be changed.

  I need to change the email account on the main user as it doesn’t exist anymore. What happens if I forget my password there is no place to send me the request to change it. I don’t want to delete my account as I understand I won’t be able to recreate the same one. Please help !

  Have you tried to update the email address at https://wordpress.com/me/account?

  Scroll down to Email Address and be sure to click the Save Account Settings link after you change it.

  Tried https://wordpress.com/me/account but it gives an error when I try to save.

  Got it. Change your email where you can. If you can. It seems that the Gravatar was the problem. I added a new email on my gravatar and made it the primary and then deleted the original. Going back to wordpress the email was changed to the new one. Tested lost password and everything worked fine. After searching and searching the solution was pretty simple. Who knew ? There still may be small problems b/c of this change eg; jetpack , polls .. and other things looking for the original email.. don’t know yet.

  I’m glad you succeeded. WordPress.com accounts and Gravatar accounts are one in the same thing. :)
