Main Nav Menu won't remove deleted page

First, the real URL of my website is operations.web.unc.edu.

My problem is this: I created and added a page to my navigation menu. Then, I edited its url, then I decided to delete it. All my sub-pages nav menus are fine, but I’m using a “all blog posts” page as my home page and it won’t remove the old page from the nav bar. It messes the whole positioning up. Its the “Article Archives” page.

I looked at the HTML and the code is still linking to the name of my URL before I edited it (I published it blank at first, so a random # was assigned).

I’ve tried clearing my cache and deleting all my menus and recreating them to no avail. Please help! (yes, I did click the checkbox to select my menu as the “top menu”).

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://operations.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/ is not hosted by WordPress.com and we cannot help you with it. operations.kenan-flagler.unc.edu is hosted by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
    Name Servers:
    webprod.isis.unc.edu

This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I know it looks that way but I’m domain mapping. I assure you that my dashboard to manage the site is wordpress.com. I’m using the twenty twelve theme.

I can’t edit my html and thus the wordpress.org forum will be of no help. I’ve been using wordpress.com for 2 years and I assure you I’m not using .org for the operations club website.

What is the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com site that you are mapping from?

Okay now the domain mapping appears to be working but it sure as heck wasn’t mapping when I first checked. http://symposium.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/ There’s 72 hours propagation tome for domain mapping.

I created and added a page to my navigation menu.

Go to Pages > All Pages and locate the page there.

First, my site is operations.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/operations.web.unc.edu. Yes, I just activated the domain mapping today. The help forum wouldn’t let me choose it for some reason. The site with the issue is NOT the symposium site.

Also, as I said in the first post, I have completely deleted the Article Archives page. It doesn’t even exist in the trash.

    Any other ideas?

Well, I went to the site just now and the menus are exactly as they should be. Maybe it just needed some time to sort itself out.

Thanks for reaching out to me to offer your help and guidance, though, timethief
