  I’d like to change my main page into a news page, but keep an image(one of my paintings) at the top. My second question is,, as I post news articles,, how do I keep my most current post at the top of the page,, while keeping my image above all my posts? Is this possible???

  Just put the image in a post by itself and make that post Sticky. Then it will always stay on top. The other posts will go underneath it in normal order.
