Main page shows up jumbled in Explorer on Windows 7

  I have a bilingual blog on Twenty Twelve. When I access it with IE11 on W7 the blog’s main page gets jumbled… Please see a screenshot in the blog’s media library – filename “Blog Main Page on W7-IE11.PNG”.
  The problem appears in both the home and office computers.
  This doesn’t happen with Chrome on W7.

  Hi there,

  Thanks for reporting this. I suspect there might be something on that page that’s triggering the different menus in the admin bar to open without being clicked. I’ll need to go through the code of your posts on that page to find out what’s causing this, so it might take a while, but I’ll let you know what I find.

  Just an update: it appears this has to do with your site’s language settings. I was able to reproduce the problem on another site in Internet Explorer by changing the language to a Right to Left language. I’ll make sure this is reported to our developers so they can try to fix it.

  If this helps, I stopped using IE for the blog about a year ago, when the new editor was introduced and IE didn’t handle Hebrew well. Before that time IE performed quite well.

  This is not related to the editor, but rather I think it’s related to some changes that were made to the admin bar late last year. The problem has been reported, so hopefully it can be fixed. I’ll keep you updated on any progress.

  Hi kokkieh,
  Just touching base. The problem persists. This is rather annoying because Windows IE is still widely used, especially in organizations, so it’s upsetting to know that IE users can’t access so many blogs, mine included:).

  Hi Amir,

  I understand that this is frustrating, and we do want IE users to have the same experience as users on other browsers. Our developers are still trying to find the cause of this and I’m not able to tell you when it will be fixed, but we are working on it.
