Main Sidebar not working!

  I keep trying to place widgets in my main sidebar. They never show up! Is it a problem with the theme I am using? I am using the 2011 theme. I have tried to place several different widgets into it but none work. Neither does the Showcase sidebar. Why won’t this work?

  Twenty Eleven has several configuration options. Perhaps you have not enabled the sidebar under Theme Options?
