MAJOR issue with subscriber list

    I used to run the blog inmy30sanditstime.com and I stopped blogging quite some time ago. Now someone else has bought the domain which is fine, BUT somehow this new blog owner kept my list of email subscribers!! I have received complaints from about 10+ friends and family, wondering why I am suddenly blogging about hunting. Also I myself have received over 15 emails from this new blog.
    How on earth did MY list of email subscribers from my old blog get copied to this new blog just because the web address is the same?
    That is a MASSIVE privacy concern!!
