Make a wordpress website, how to customize it?

I have owned a free wordpress.com site for a while, and now i just bought a domain name and a hosting service. I installed wordpress on this and since i really like the theme i have on the wordpress.com site i wanted to continue using that. The theme i use is ‘Sela’. But, when i wanted to customize the site like i have on my free website i saw these options weren’t there, like changing the colors etc. How can i change that or is that not an option? i want to make the same site i have on my free wordpress.com domain.

For your self hosted site, you will have to rely on WordPress.org documentation and forums.
