Make all posts public
-
I have several years worth of posts that are private that I am wanting to make public. Ive been going to each posts and changing the settings to public, but its going to take me all day to finish this. Is there an easier way to batch edit all of my posts to public?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Unfortunately there is currently no way to bulk edit posts to change Post Visibility so you will have to manually change the settings for each one. This information can be seen within the Additional Notes section of the following link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/
Cheers

Hi byrddayona,
The WP Admin interface has a bulk editing tool which may help to save some time. This link will take you through to the right place:
https://jasonshawnadayonaleebyrd.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
- Click the “Title” checkbox to select multiple posts
- Change “Bulk actions” to “Edit” in the dropdown about the checkbox
- Click “Apply”
- You will then see the option to change the status — selecting “Published” should mark the posts public rather than private
- Click “Update” to save the change
I hope this helps.

Wow, good to know I was not aware of that work around – thanks @gemmacevans!
@byrddayona – tested it myself and works great! -
