make an archive

I’ve stop writing on my blog for a few months now and I want to start over, but with a new concept, other types of articles. Still, I don’t want to delete my work so far and I’d like to have an “archive” section on my blog that visitors can click and read my previous work, with all my articles so far (before I make the changes). The thing is, I don’t want these articles I wrote before to appear on the first page, only my newest posts. How can I do that? Thanks a lot

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t think I made myself very clear, sorry about it. What I actually want is something like the first page on the blog, but I want it to be a secondery page, that contains all my articles, in the same view as they are now. On my home page I want to right the new stuff. Is that possible? thanks again

Alright, to put it simple, you want an ‘old’ blog with the old posts and a ‘new’ blog with the new posts sort of side by side? No can do that I am aware of. Well, there could be a workaround:

Remove all categories and tags from the old posts, and assign them to a new category called ‘old’ or whatever you want to name it.

Write the new posts and assign categories and tags as you wish. Eventually the new posts will push the old posts into oblivion, and since only the new posts have tags and categories, it is only when clicking the ‘old’ category in your category widget that these posts will show up. Or you can make a direct link to that category in a text widget in your sidebar.

Yeah, you put it perefect in the first sentence, thanks. Too bad there’s no way to do it. Well, I’ll just have to try your solution, or maybe even delete the old posts.

Well, another solution would be to make another blog with the same theme, export all the old posts to there, such that it looks the same from the outside, with the same sidebar and everything, but it has only the old posts. If you then leave a link to that ‘old’ blog in the sidebar of the now ‘new’ blog and a leave link to the new blog in the sidebar of the old blog, that could work, too. You have to manage two blogs, but the old blog is just sitting there, you’re not adding to it. And your readers will not really notice that they are switching between two separate blogs
