Make an image clickable
-
I have an image in my sidebar in a text widget. I would like to make it where viewers can click on the image and then be taken to another blog. How do I do that?

Have you searched the FAQ?
Sometimes using the search button gets your answer more quickly.

There’s also a shortcut for composing text widget contents (that I invented). You write them as if they’re draft posts, using all the visual editor’s tools etc. So put the picture in as if it were going in a post, fiddle the alignment, all of that stuff. Then click to select it, click on the LINK button, and put your link in there. Once it’s all the way you want, click to the HTML editor and copy all of the code. Paste that in your text widget.

Hi rain,
And in the link, I always set it to open in a new page. That way, the link doesn’t take people away from your blog, unless they actually want to leave it.

Yes, that’s a good point disembedded. I set ALL links to open in a new window. Old Skool nerds don’t like it, but the world is gradually coming around to the view that there’s no point throwing people off your blog.
Thanks guys!
