Make classic default?
-
Is there any way to make classic editor my default? I really don’t want to have to go through the extra clicks to get back to it. The new version is pretty well useless for me.
Oh yeah… and the same for classic stats? I mean I can use gostats but I liked having it here.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Try the following log in page. It’s taken me directly to the classic dashboard for years: https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php.
Then make bookmarks to this log in page (if it works for you), to the classic dashboard page, and any other pages you might use often.

Thanks. I usually click off my wordpress.org site to get to this blog but if that’s the only way, I guess I’ll have to bookmark it.

I too wish to set the Classic Dashboard as my default. This question was asked by someone in May 2014 and the “official” reply was that the system engineers would be notified for a future update. Then the thread was closed. (Why do you do that?) – – Unless I’m missing something, there still isn’t anything in the Settings options to make the Classic Dashboard our default. It is very annoying and distracting not to have that option. Please advise. Thank you.

There are no current plans to change the way this works. The suggestion about accessing your site through WP-admin is the shortest path towards always ending up on the classic dashboard.
That having been said, your browser will remember your preference, so once you switch from the new editor to classic, you’ll default to the classic editor until you switch back.
