Make content area wider

I want to increase the width of the content area of my blog posts –
The amount of white space on either side of the text is ridiculous.
Can I get some CSS help…please!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Let’s start with this bit of CSS:
@media screen and (min-width: 1024px) { .single .content-area, .blog .content-area { width: 1000px; } .single .post-thumbnail img, .blog .post-thumbnail img { width: 1000px; } }Can you give that a try? The media query at the top ensures that phones and tablets still look great. The single and blog attributes mean that this will only apply to the blog page and individual blog posts, not the templates with child page grids.

Jeremy,
That works great.
I may play with it to get the perfect px width, but this is exactly what I needed.

Doug, I spotted your question about Edin:
I am working with the Edin theme….sadly no forum for Edin
It has breadcrumb navigation for pages – http://healthhabits.ca/home/health-articles/
but not for posts – http://healthhabits.ca/2014/10/09/children-health-politics-toronto-woonerfs-and-a-whole-big-pile-of-bs/
Can anyone at Automattic help???
Looks like you inadvertently posted it in one of the premium theme forums a while back. Edin is a free theme that doesn’t have its own forum, so feel free to ask question in the general Themes forum in the future:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/themes
To answer your question, there are no breadcrumbs on posts because posts are always in the same place in the site hierarchy. Since pages can have parents and children, breadcrumbs are an option there, but not on posts.
