Make drop down with select to database?

  Hi,

  How do I make a drop down with select to database in wordpress?

  Eg.

  City:
  Amsterdam
  Berlin
  Copenhagen

  And then a Search-button that sends the data to my ready made database?
  The idea is that the choice returns a picture and a google map for a given location to the page the user is on.

  Hi @brianellentoftpaulsen, if you’re using your own copy of WordPress.org with custom code, you’ll want to use the forums at https://wordpress.org/support instead. These forums are for the managed sites hosted at WordPress.com. Cheers!

  It’s in regards for my stand alone site

  All of WordPress.org support starts here:
  https://wordpress.org/support

  The top section of that page has a search box that searches the documents, forums, and plugins. So when I search for dropdown filter I get quite a few resources in docs, plugins, and forum conversations:
  https://wordpress.org/search/dropdown+filter/?forums=1

  You can find the forums on the support page (it tries to link you to the best forum) or you can just start here:
  https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  I want to say a plugin for filtering is probably your best bet. Good luck.
