Make my posts page invisible in menu
-
Hello, here is what I’d like to do. I want to have a post page called “Archives” (for our blog posts). So obviously when someone does a Google search they are going to stumble upon one of our posts. I want them to be able to click and visit the link from Google BUT I do NOT want that post page on my menu bar. When I publish the post page (I’ll call it Archives) and make it visible on the menu it works fine in preview. BUT if I disable it on the menu and go to view it in preview it does not show the posts (Archives) page. It just brings up my static Welcome page. Thoughts? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
I’ll be happy to take a look. Are you working on hauntedsouthmainschool.wordpress.com or a different site?

I am working on hauntedsouthmainschool.wordpress.com I currently have the “Archives” page enabled in the menu. If I disable it in the menu I have no posts page and am automatically taken to the Welcome page. Thank you

Ah, got it. So, you’ll need to assign a new “front” page to the site. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
Let me know if you have any questions.
There are 2 options for the “front” page. It can be a static page, OR, you can enable your posts page to be the “front” page.
