Make my wordpress.com or self-hosted site identical to NYTimes.com?

  Hello,

  Is there a way to make my site identical to http://www.nytimes.com/ with wordpress.com (and not self-hosting)? I don’t see any themes that seem customizable to the Times look and functionality.

  If I do have to self-host, could someone recommend a theme? I came across New Yorker 3 (http://wpfancy.com/yorker-3-premium-wordpress-theme/) which is just about perfect, but people seem to have issues with their support.

  Also, is it a violation of copyright to use a theme that mimics the Times so closely?

  Hello,

  The theme you found is for wordpress.org. Here, on wordpress.com, we can’ t install themes from other sources. But there are lots of themes -updating frequently- and you can choose only from them. Also, sometimes themes for worpress.org are adapted to wordpress.com.

  I can recommend you the themes The Morning After and Basic Maths. These are the ones look like the Times, but you can find more designs from the Themes page.
