I am trying to create a new site but am getting information carried over from a previous site I created years ago such as the author always referring to the previous site. How do I change this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

It sounds like when you created your new WordPress.com site, some details—like the author name—seem to have carried over from your previous site. I totally get how that could feel a bit odd, especially if you’re expecting a clean slate.

That info is most likely pulling from your WordPress.com profile settings. When you get a moment, try heading to https://wordpress.com/me and updating your profile details there. That should update the author information going forward.

I also took a quick look at https://tombrantigan.wordpress.com and didn’t see any posts or pages published yet—so you’re in a good spot to make those updates before you dive in.

Give it a go, and let me know how it works out. I’m here if you need anything else.
