make text appear on click, on wordpress.com hosted site?

  What is the simplest way to make text appear on click on a wordpress.com hosted site?

  Background: I want to ask a question, and have the answer hidden but then appear when the reader clicks on a “Click here for answer” link.

  If you mean text that would appear on the same page, it’s not possible: it would require javascript, which we’re not allowed to use.
  Possible alternatives: text that appears when you mouse over, or click to jump to text further down on the page, or link to separate page.

  Thanks. I was worried that might be the answer, but thought I might be missing something simple. The text that appears when you mouse over option does not work well for larger chunks of text, so I suppose the alternative is a different page.
