Make the posts separated and delete white space
-
Hi,
My website is phatamhay.com.
I have been changing into the new theme and it fits my purpose. However, could you please help make the homepage look tighter and each post separated?
For example, in ted.com, each post/image in the homepage is separated by the white line in between. When it stands like it is as now, since the thumbnail picture stick together so it makes each post seem not relevant to each other. What’s more, please help to remove the blank at the end of each thumbnail in the homepage as it looks not nice when having such white space.
Thanks for your support.

Hello @angiele131
I have been changing into the new theme and it fits my purpose. However, could you please help make the homepage look tighter and each post separated?
For example, in ted.com, each post/image in the homepage is separated by the white line in between. When it stands like it is as now, since the thumbnail picture stick together so it makes each post seem not relevant to each other. You can add border and some padding to the posts using this CSS:
.archive-grid .hentry { border: 1px solid #e5e5e5; padding: 30px 60px 30px 60px; }to make them seem separated.
What’s more, please help to remove the blank at the end of each thumbnail in the homepage as it looks not nice when having such white space.
To do this, add the height property to the above code, like this:
.archive-grid .hentry { border: 1px solid #e5e5e5; padding: 30px 60px 30px 60px; height: 370px; /*change this value if you must*/ }Hope these help 🙂

Thanks so much for your help.
Another issue: I want the posts in the homepage is cataloged in each categories. Now it’s appear randomly with the most recent first, so the reader finds it hard to look for posts.
For example:
First line: Pronunciation
Second line: Intonation
Third line: Liaison
…Thanks for your support.

I suppose we cannot do that. Because if there’s a custom static home page set up, the theme usually picks up the latest posts and shows it on the home page.
But it all depends on the theme you are using. Since you are using a premium theme i would recommend you to ask that question on the official theme forum: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/aquene
Thanks! 🙂
