Make the whole left sidebar semi-transparent in Twenty Fourteen
-
Hey guys
I’m trying to make the left sidebar semi-transparent (using twenty fourteen theme), or add this imagem behind it: (https://besthqwallpapers.com/Uploads/12-7-2019/99847/thumb2-old-paper-texture-4k-paper-backgrounds-paper-textures-old-paper.jpg) but kinda darker so the text is visible.
I’ve tried this CSS:
#main #secondary {
background: url ~~~
}But it seems to stop after a while, when you scroll down, then it gets back to dark brown
Thanks a lot for your help

Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Hostgator.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
