making a blog that looks (almost) like the forum
-
Is there a way to make a forum setup like this, and to post it on a blog or make a blog out of it?
Relatedly, is there a way to make a blog that looks and/or works like a messageboard?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To clarify, my question is how make a blog that looks similar to the forum setup here, with the relatively short white and gray alternating lines for input by posters.
I’d like for people to be able to post, in a small amount of space like here on the forum.

Have you looked at the P2 theme as it would be the closest thing in my opinion out of the box

The P2P theme is interesting. I posted a few times though and they didn’t show up. I will try it with a new blog and see what happens.
Thanks. :)

Why don’t you just make a forum? BBPress is free and open-source. If you want people other than yourself to be able to post to it, you probably don’t want a blog; you want either a wiki or a forum (which is less technical and easier to manage than a wiki).
You can just put a text widget in your blog sidebar and link to the forum “FORUM HERE” or whatever, or I believe you already know the trick of linking a tabbed header tab to an external page. Either would work, while still giving you prominence as the blogger, rather than just some dude in the forum where people appear equal.

No. There are some free forum hosts out there, but it’s been years since I had anything to do with one. I just suggest you try Google.

I have a blog hosted by WordPress & a forum hosted by myself.
Blog: http://salesrepblog.wordpress.com/
Forum: http://www.sales-rep-forum.co.uk/I have tabs in both to link both and in the blog a widget on the right with the forums latest posts.
