Making a deleted Blog address available again for another username
-
I have a WordPress blog and I wanted to launch a new one. When I created the Blog address “joinmein50years” I did not realize that I was logged in and that this new blog became my second blog sharing the same username. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. So I thought deleting this 2nd blog would help me start over again and use a different username for “joinmein50years” . I didn’t find out how to delete it so I just changed it into ‘joinmein20years” with the hope “joinmein50years” would become free again as I need this title for an art project. But “joinmein50years” still unavailable. What can I do? Can you make “joinmein50years” free again? With best regards. klaraart
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No. You cannot register a deleted URL. it is no easy to delete a free hosted WordPress.com blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ You clicked that link and the URL is gone.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

You can do nothing. Deletions are permanent and irreversible, which is why there is a whole series of warnings and an email confirmation.
