Making a living with WordPress

    Hi everybody,

    I’d like to make a living through wordpress.com as I would like to eventually leave my job and be more happier. Please do share your tips and experience, much appreciated. Thanks

    I also would like to be able to take donations on my blog. I am a native plant teacher and have a good following of people who want to donate. I am about to publish my book “Radical Botany” and want to be able to have a linked page that allows people to order a e-book or a hard copy. I have other things I want to sell that are educational.

    I have not been able to find out if I can do all this on my WordPress.com blog site. Do I have to use another vendor? I love the support I get with WordPress and would rather pay WordPress if I have a choice.

    Any one know the answer to this question about whether one can use a WordPress.com site to raise $ or sell products. How about if I become a non-profit?

    @Ellen,

    We volunteers have no authority to determine whether a blog is in compliance with the TOS or not. You need to contact staff directly when they reopen on Monday:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    (Search for anything, then answer “no” the information was not helpful, then the contact form will appear)

    Give them as much information about what you propose to do, and the TOS team will get back to you via email.
