Making a map to categorize blog posts

Hi, I’m trying to make a map on my blog. One that shows where I am currently, and has pins to click on that shows all the blog entries about that specific location. Sort of like an instagram map but with blog posts. Does that make sense? I don’t have my own domain, is that possible?

I think I put click links on a Google Map a year or two back – click on a pin and a little box opened up and html could be put in that – was some time back – and finally got upset with Google Maps as the live map also wanted to link back to a test map – change the test map and the live map changed – finally gave up on the whole thing
