Making a navigation button link directly to an outside website

  I am wondering if there is any way to make one of my navigation buttons link directly to another website, rather than to the page and then me having to put the link to the outside website there?

  If this can be done but only if I have a self-hosted blog with wordpress.org, I’d like to know.

  Navigation buttons in any blog direct to material in that same blog. Exactly which “navigation buttons” are you referring to?

  Are you referring to items tabs in a custom menu? http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ If so then yes you can add custom links to a custom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
