making a page my home page

  I have been using wordpress for a year – but cant remember the most basing thing which i only had to do onece before!

  i bought another hostgator acct – downladed WP added Elementor – made one page canned sammy

  i want it to me my home page when i enter the URl foriegncarsservices.com (gives me an error – no screen comes up)
  but i can only get the page to come up if i enter foriegncarsservices.com/sammy

  how do i make sammy the main page?

  Hello there,

  It looks like foreigncarsservice.com is a self-hosted WordPress site with Hostgator, which is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You would need to reach out to your theme/plugin developers or the hosting provider for further assistance.

  Your site, foreigncarsservice.com, is not hosted with WordPress.com, it’s using the open-source WordPress.org software

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, you can find more information on WordPress.com vs WordPress.org here:
