Making a post from a form and searching & selecting categories

  Hi,

  I want to make a form available to users to make posts. My site has a lot of categories (over 100) and I’d like to add a search to narrow and select one or more categories rather than using a dropdown list etc

  The WP Admin Category Search adds this exact functionality to the dashboard but I need it in a form

  Any ideas? TIA
