Making a private blog with single password access

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a private family blog but I don’t want to have to get all my family members to sign up with wordpress and login with a username and password every time they want to read my blog.

I would like to have a single password to access the blog and I can just give this password to whoever I want to access it. I have found a plugin that will do this but it seems that I would need to ‘upgrade to pro’ to be able to use this option. What is the minimum upgrade required to access plugins? Or is there another way to set up single password access?

All help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tem

No, there is no upgrade that will allow you to use plugins on a WordPress.com blog.

What I suggest you do is password-protect each post and just use the same password for all of them.
