  How can I make a section of my site private?
  I want to add a section to our site that will only be available to members of our Council.

  While it isn’t possible to set sections of your site private on a Premium plan, you can set individual pages as password-protected. Here’s how: https://wordpress.com/support/post-and-page-visibility/

  Otherwise, you might want to consider creating a separate new site that is private, inviting council members as users. Here’s how: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/
