Making and keeping posts in the order I want
-
Hello,
Finding it frustrating to make posts list the way I want i.e. my last post is the first one on the list, not my introduction to deepinthewell.wordpress.com
Used the date function on the dashboard and thought I had fixed it. But when sending link to others, they see my last post first.
Is there an “apply function” I missed? How can I fix this? Newbie to the platform. Would appreciate help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Posts display by default in reverse chronological order. You may change the dates to rearrang the order. You may also make a post )or multiple posts) sticky to keep it at the top of your homepage.

When sending which link to others?

here is no domain mapping upgrade for deepinthewell.com here at wordpress.com and domain forwarding is NOT supported. deepinthewell.com is hosted by GoDaddy.com

http://deepinthewell.com is a web page is parked for FREE, courtesy of GoDaddy.com. if you want to use that domain to map from http://deepinthewell.wordpress.com/ to it then you need a domain mapping upgrade.
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year.
Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually and a domain name purchase and domain mapping are included in the Premium ujpgrade bundle.
In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL.
If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the WordPress.COM blog, and as you own a domain URL already, you can see here for mapping an existing domain. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
It can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

As musicdoc1 has pointed out above blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent published post will display on top. There is no upgrade that allows you to change this post order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
Reverse chronological order is designed to serve your visitors as they come to read the most recent posts and they will not be inclined to trawl through hundreds of posts to locate it.
If your posts are not displaying in reverse chronological order as expected then you may need to reset your timezone.
The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. There you select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu and then click “save changes”.
If you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog this is what you see here
http://psaoftheday.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.phpGeneral Settings
Site Title __________
Tagline __________Timezone
Choose a city in the same timezone as you.
“save changes”Alternate post order display options
See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.Or you could use a single sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
Or you can falsify every date-stamp before publishing.
Staff have provided this support doc http://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/

@ vmgsnead,
Is http://deepinthewell.com/ one of your websites, or was that a typo? What is the URL of the website you’re referring to in the OP?
