  How do I make my own audio files (successfully uploaded to media library) downlaodable by followers?

  You have two options in this case.

  1. You could embed a player: http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

  2. You could retrieve the URL for the file from the Media library and add it as a link: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
