Making Comments Invisible

  Hi,

  I am trying to make the pesky “Leave a Comment” notice disappear from my home page and other pages as well. I’ve been able to disable comments, but not render the notice invisible. I am using Adventure Journal as my theme. I’ve read about the index.php, but I have no clue where this is…can someone tell me where to find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  You would need the Custom Design upgrade and a knowledge of CSS editing.

  The “Leave a Comment” link will disappear if you disable comments – which you haven’t done. Go to Pages > All Pages, click the little square to select all the pages, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select “Do not allow” from the Comments pulldown, click Update.

  You do know that, rain, you do! You were probably misled by Nicole’s claim that she has disabled comments (which probably means she disabled them in Settings > Discussion).

  You’re welcome. Explanation: disabling comments in Settings > Discussion applies to future posts and pages; it has no effect on already published ones.
